Wedding Receptions in The Rotunda

With our spacious open floor plan, there are many ways that we or your wedding designer/planner can layout your reception space. Here are a few points to consider when resetting The Rotunda from ceremony to reception:

• Repurpose your ceremony decor - Many items like arbors, specialty backdrops, and staging can NOT be moved or reset due to their weight or intricate installation process and will need to be repurposed as reception decor. For instance, ceremony arbors often become the backdrop for the head table or lounge grouping.

• Dinner tables need to be preset in order to make the narrow reset time of 60 minutes (typical cocktail hour). These tables can easily be hidden behind draping if you do not want your guests to see tables during your ceremony.

• Vendor teamwork - It takes a lot of coordinated team work among different vendor teams to do a room-flip. The DAE team is here to help with some elements, but depending upon the complexity of design other vendors may be required to assist with the flip like your planner, decorator/designer or florist.

  This is also part of the reason why we have a select number of caterers on our preferred catering list; they are trained well-oiled machines when it comes to entertaining your guests during cocktail hour in The Tank, while the rest of their team assists in re-staging The Rotunda.
